This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, coach, and provide direct management to a district of Therapeutic Sales Specialists.
• Formulate and execute business plans for designated districts.
• Support individual sales representatives with innovative approaches using a next-best-action engine.
• Implement strategies and directives for the Specialty Franchise.
• Work in conjunction with Commercial Operations to enhance field-force alignment.
• Inspire creative ideation and execution for customer engagements through both virtual and face-to-face selling methods.
• Cultivate and nurture a high-performing, diverse team through effective recruitment, selection, development, and retention practices.
• Build relationships and generate innovative ideas and solutions for a growing biopharmaceutical company.
• Ensure that product strategies and messaging are communicated and executed as planned.
• Apply objective analysis to support CRM and customer engagement via the Azurity Commercial Excellence (ACE) platform.
• Oversee sales-force strategy and analysis, including targeting, territory alignment, reporting requirements, and incentive plans.
• Implement strategies aimed at enhancing sales routing and overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate on training related to product knowledge, selling techniques, systems, processes, and reporting metrics.
• Provide leadership and direction to maximize business opportunities while addressing customer needs alongside cross-functional partners.
• Work with HR on recruitment strategies, employee development, and performance management initiatives.
• Gather and analyze both internal and external data sources to inform business decisions.
• Report to the Sales Director and collaborate with teams across Commercial Operations & Analytics, Marketing, Market Access & Strategic Accounts, Sales Training, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS); MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Over 3 years of progressive experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, including management in field sales and product launch experience as both a representative and sales leader.
• Proficiency in customer-facing organization sales strategy and optimization within multi-channel customers, with notable success in pharmacy-related areas.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and organizational capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales professionals.
• Technical aptitude to coordinate functional business activities.
• Strong strategic and analytical competencies.
• Experience in utilizing syndicated sales data by customer channel, longitudinal patient-level data, and payer-level data.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and achieve alignment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment while managing multiple product launches across different therapeutic areas.
• Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory/legal landscape and compliance requirements for interactions with healthcare professionals, including adherence to the PhRMA Code.
• Strong knowledge of the Retail and Institutional Marketplace.
• Familiarity with CRM call reporting and dashboard systems.
• Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time, including overnight stays.
• Ability to sit for extended periods; frequently stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.
• Capability to occasionally climb stairs and/or use elevators.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Competence in operating a keyboard, telephone, and handheld devices.
