This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver direct oversight, coaching, and leadership to a team of Therapeutic Sales Specialists within the district.
• Formulate and execute business strategies for designated districts.
• Support sales representatives in adopting a next-generation approach to work utilizing a next-best-action engine.
• Implement strategic direction for the Specialty Franchise.
• Collaborate with Commercial Operations to enhance field-force alignment.
• Foster innovative customer engagement ideation and execution through both virtual and in-person selling methods.
• Assemble and nurture a high-performing, diverse sales team by attracting, selecting, developing, and retaining talent.
• Ensure that product strategies and messages are communicated and implemented as planned.
• Conduct objective analysis to bolster CRM and customer engagement via the Azurity Commercial Excellence platform.
• Oversee sales-force strategy and analysis, targeting, territory alignment, reporting requirements, and incentive structures.
• Implement strategies to enhance sales routing and overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate in training focused on product knowledge, selling techniques, systems, processes, and reporting accuracy.
• Provide leadership to maximize business opportunities and address customer needs alongside key functions.
• Work in partnership with HR on recruitment, employee development, and performance management initiatives.
• Gather and evaluate internal and external data to inform business decisions.
• Report to the Sales Director while collaborating with Commercial Operations & Analytics, Marketing, Market Access & Strategic Accounts, Sales Training, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS); an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, encompassing field sales management and product launch experience as both a representative and sales leader.
• Proficiency in sales strategy and optimization for customer-facing organizations within multi-channel environments, with a proven record of pharmacy-related success.
• Strong capabilities in leadership, team building, and organizational management.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales professionals effectively.
• Technical aptitude to coordinate various functional business activities.
• Excellent strategic and analytical skills.
• Experience with syndicated sales data by customer channel, longitudinal patient-level data, and payer-level data.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and gain alignment across all organizational levels.
• Capacity to thrive in a collaborative team environment and achieve alignment.
• Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and manage multiple product launches across diverse therapeutic areas.
• Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory/legal landscape and compliance requirements, including the PhRMA Code.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Retail and Institutional Marketplace.
• Familiarity with CRM call reporting and dashboard systems.
• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including overnight stays.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.
• Occasionally climb stairs and/or use elevators.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use a keyboard and operate a telephone and handheld devices.
