Regional Labor Relations Manager – Heavy Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more locations.

📋 Description

• Oversee and clarify Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and Project Labor Agreements (PLAs)

• Facilitate negotiations of CBAs, PLAs, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and other labor agreements

• Analyze labor contracts alongside state or national regulations and advise project teams to ensure adherence with Legal Counsel

• Assist in internal inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution in partnership with Legal Counsel

• Establish and nurture positive relationships with local and regional union leaders and job stewards

• Organize project initiation activities, including workforce planning, pre-job meetings, and labor relations training

• Maintain labor relations documentation and databases in line with company standards

• Provide support for labor relations functions across various construction projects and business units in the Western region

• Collaborate with project teams, trade unions, and field leadership to enhance project outcomes

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Construction Management, Business Administration, or Human Resources

• At least 5 years of experience in heavy industrial construction/projects involving trade unions

• Demonstrated experience in administering CBAs and operating within union environments

• Strong background in private sector labor relations

• High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality

• Proficient problem-solving and time management abilities

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent public speaking, presentation, and training skills
