Regional Executive Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the overall success of CollegeSpring across the Southeast region

• Enhance CollegeSpring's influence by securing both philanthropic funding and earned revenue

• Establish strategic partnerships and expand into new markets

• Guarantee exceptional program delivery for partners and students

• Direct regional fundraising efforts, market growth, partner success, and leadership of the regional team

• Meet regional student growth and impact objectives

• Accomplish annual regional fundraising and earned revenue targets

• Maintain an 85% partner retention rate through outstanding partner experiences

• Formulate and implement the regional growth strategy

• Identify new school districts, nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, and funding prospects

• Foster relationships with foundations, corporations, government agencies, major donors, and strategic partners

• Represent CollegeSpring to education leaders, policymakers, funders, and community organizations

• Lead, coach, and develop the regional team, including Program Experience Partners

• Create partner-specific implementation strategies and ensure successful program launches

• Collaborate with national teams in Program, Advancement, Finance, Marketing, Technology, and Operations

• Track regional performance, partner feedback, and student outcomes using data

• Develop and manage regional budgets, revenue projections, and financial performance

• Ensure regional operations, personnel, and resources deliver consistent, high-quality execution and sustainable growth

• Report to the Chief Executive Officer and act as a member of the Senior Leadership Team

• Travel frequently throughout the Southeast, which may include day trips and occasional overnight trips; up to 10% additional overnight and out-of-state travel may be necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, or a related field

• 15+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in education, nonprofit, public sector, or a related field

• Proven success in leading organizational growth through strategic partnerships, business development, or market expansion

• Established fundraising experience, including cultivation of foundations, corporations, government, and/or major donors

• Experience in developing executive-level relationships with school districts, nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, foundations, corporations, or government agencies

• Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams

• Strong financial and business insight, including experience in budget management, revenue forecasting, and achieving financial objectives

• Exceptional skills in communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically while executing operationally in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment

• Strong commitment to educational equity and a belief in the potential for all students to achieve high levels

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods

• Capability to lift, carry, or transport educational or promotional materials and/or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Preferred: Experience with K-12 school systems, charter organizations, higher education institutions, or statewide education initiatives

• Preferred: Knowledge of the K-12 education landscape, funding structures, and policy environment

• Preferred: Experience in leading regional or statewide nonprofit operations

• Preferred: Existing relationships within the region’s education, philanthropic, nonprofit, or business sectors
