Regional EHS Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer daily EHS support for service and large project site operations throughout Hydro in the United States.

• Build relationships with operational and project managers to promote an EHS-focused culture.

• Assist sites in meeting regulatory, contractual, and GE standards.

• Perform audits, inspections, and evaluations to pinpoint deficiencies and foster enhancements.

• Oversee the chemical Safety Data Sheet databank for the United States.

• Ensure adherence to safety rules, procedures, and protective equipment requirements.

• Promote the continuous improvement of EHS programs across various sites.

• Aid in hiring, managing, and developing EHS staff at site locations.

• Review and refine programs related to confined spaces, lifting operations, high voltage, working at heights, and other high-risk activities.

• Facilitate accreditation processes at assigned sites.

• Drive the utilization of digital tools and programs at designated locations.

• Conduct tender evaluations and assess EHS requirements and risks.

• Analyze safety and environmental risks during bidding and project execution.

• Investigate accidents and hazardous conditions, identify trends and causes, and follow up on corrective and preventive measures.

• Provide EHS training to personnel at assigned sites.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of internal and external EHS reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related EHS field is preferred, or equivalent education and experience combination.

• Professional certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP are preferred.

• Over 8 years of EHS experience, with exposure to various EHS domains in a Projects or Services environment.

• Familiarity with the Oil and Gas, Electrification, or Energy sectors.

• Understanding of OSHA and state-specific regulatory requirements.

• Documented 24 hours of safety-related education for each of the last three to five years.

• OSHA 30 or higher certification obtained within the last 5 years is preferred.

• Capability to work on government projects.

• Willingness to travel up to 70%, as necessary.

• Proven history of working with and managing field service sites.

• Proficiency in English with exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Strong leadership and influencing abilities.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple issues with competing priorities.

• High energy and self-motivated attitude.

• Six Sigma Greenbelt trained/certified (for GE Employees only).

• Practical experience in risk elimination, ergonomics, and project management related to high-hazard tasks.

• Trainer qualifications in CPR/First Aid/AED, Confined Space Rescue, and Forklift Trainer topics.

• EM 385 certification.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable.
