This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee the performance of more than 70 Insomnia Cookies bakeries in the region
• Achieve targets in sales, profitability, labor, COGS, operating income, EBITDA, guest experience, and overall operational performance
• Analyze P&Ls, performance metrics, guest feedback, and field observations to uncover opportunities and risks
• Establish regional priorities and convert company objectives into actionable plans
• Identify underperformance, address underlying issues, and ensure ongoing improvements
• Lead, mentor, and develop District Managers and Area Managers
• Cultivate a culture focused on training, development, accountability, and succession planning
• Collaborate with the People team to enhance talent development and retention
• Guarantee operational excellence regarding product quality, food safety, cleanliness, service speed, hospitality, and adherence to brand standards
• Conduct visits to bakeries and markets to observe operations, coach leaders, and engage with customers and employees
• Collaborate with teams as necessary to stabilize operations and identify root causes
• Convert company strategy and innovation into consistent execution in the field
• Partner with Marketing, Finance, Digital, Supply Chain, People, Development, and other teams on products, programs, technology, openings, and initiatives
• Advocate for field perspectives in company decisions utilizing operational and performance data
• Eliminate obstacles to effective operations, leadership development, and customer service
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations
• At least 5 years of experience leading multi-unit field leaders such as Regional Directors, District Managers, or equivalent
• Strong preference for candidates with restaurant/QSR or high-volume food service experience
• Demonstrated success in managing a large, geographically dispersed business with complete P&L accountability across various markets
• Experience overseeing more than 50 locations is highly preferred
• Background in small to mid-sized, high-growth firms is advantageous
• Strong business and financial acumen in areas such as sales, EBITDA, labor, COGS, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
• Proven track record in leading, coaching, developing, and holding leaders accountable
• Success in team building, nurturing high-potential talent, strengthening succession pipelines, and promoting internally
• Capability to utilize data to assess performance, identify root causes, and transform insights into action
• Hands-on leadership approach and readiness to work alongside teams as needed
• Experience in leading through periods of growth and change, translating strategy and innovation into field execution
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant leadership experience will be taken into account
• Willingness to travel approximately 50–70%, including regular overnight stays
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
