This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of existing major donors contributing $5,000 or more annually, as well as potential individual donors in the Eastern United States.
• Conduct research on both current and prospective donors using wealth screening and various tools to assess their giving capacity and inclination.
• Develop and implement tailored moves management plans for designated donors.
• Outline donor engagement objectives, cultivation activities, solicitation strategies, timelines, and identify participating Care Net staff or board members.
• Present and pursue planned giving opportunities with assigned donors in collaboration with Care Net’s Planned Giving specialists.
• Meet with donors to comprehend their philanthropic interests and capacity, evaluate alignment with Care Net’s mission and vision, and encourage meaningful involvement.
• Prepare meeting agendas and proposals and facilitate participation from executive leadership, staff, and board members.
• Timely complete call reports and update donor records.
• Manage annual donor communications, including receipts, emails, appeals, tax statements, Christmas cards, and prayer cards.
• Collaborate with the Foundations Team to engage with foundation partners and enhance relationships and funding opportunities.
• Encourage donors to host Ministry Briefings and manage their execution.
• Support the VP of Development in major donor fundraising strategies and increasing contributions.
• Travel for donor meetings, conferences, events, training sessions, speaking engagements, and other activities.
• Engage in staff devotions, prayer, and regular team meetings.
• A committed Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Strong dedication to evangelism, the pro-life stance, and the sanctity of the family.
• Agreement with and capability to uphold Care Net’s Statement of Faith, Core Values, Mission and Vision, and Code of Conduct.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse cultures, Christian denominations, backgrounds, and traditions.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in major gifts fundraising is highly preferred, demonstrating success in asking for and securing major gifts of $10,000 or more.
• A robust sales background may also be considered.
• Experience with the gift or sales cycle, encompassing donor contact, cultivation, solicitation, closing, and stewardship.
• Capacity to initiate, analyze, monitor, evaluate, and adjust strategic advancement plans.
• Proficiency in articulating the case for support.
• Awareness of current trends in charitable giving.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Competence in public speaking.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team while achieving measurable, cost-effective results.
• Professionalism, sensitivity, confidence, and the ability to influence, persuade, and motivate others.
• Proven capability to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Familiarity with CRM systems; CRM experience is preferred.
• Proficient in computer applications, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
• Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Fully remote work environment.
