This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate strategies for sales and recruitment.
• Conduct research, source candidates, and engage with potential prospects.
• Identify potential advisors through initial sales conversations and address inquiries.
• Manage advisor segments of the pipeline from the first contact until they join LPL.
• Collaborate with Regional Directors and Division Managers.
• Meet with potential advisors to showcase LPL’s value proposition and resolve any questions or concerns.
• Navigate lengthy sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers.
• Assess potential advisors and their client portfolios for compatibility with LPL.
• Provide training and education to internal staff on recruiting top-tier wirehouse and bank advisors.
• Guide the team on the competitive landscape and challenges in winning business.
• Review and enhance recruitment practices, sourcing strategies, and affinity partnerships.
• Enhance the ability to recruit women advisors.
• Clearly communicate LPL’s business model, policies, financial services landscape, and affiliation options.
• Collaborate with BD leadership on the development of LPL’s offerings and capabilities.
• Identify external organizations, local events, and conferences as sourcing avenues.
• Represent LPL and the Business Development group at events.
• Act as a subject matter expert and assist the business development team with consulting, partnerships, and resources.
• Create, experiment with, and evaluate methods to attract diverse candidates.
• Utilize data to monitor program performance metrics, spot trends, and align initiatives with company objectives.
• Over 10 years of experience in the financial services sector.
• High proficiency in the RIA marketplace.
• Experience working with wirehouse advisors.
• Willingness and capability to travel 60% of the time.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate.
• Proven success in managing and closing complex sales.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to influence decisions and direction across the organization.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
• Strong consultative and relationship-building abilities.
• Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business leaders to manage, execute, and implement strategies.
• Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses preferred.
• Strong familiarity with MS Office suite and Salesforce.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field from an accredited institution preferred.
