Regional Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete operation and outcomes of designated properties within the American Campus portfolio.

• Execute leasing and marketing strategies aimed at maximizing occupancy levels and rental rate increases.

• Manage property finances, including the collection of rent and fees, procurement, vendor management, and adherence to budgetary constraints.

• Supervise facilities management, curb appeal, preventive maintenance, and the annual turnover process for move-outs and move-ins.

• Ensure that properties and personnel are recruited, trained, supported, and aligned with the standards of American Campus.

• Act as the operations liaison between Property Management and Corporate Support Departments.

• Oversee Risk Management and Loss Prevention Programs, as well as management contract obligations when applicable.

• Supervise the hiring, training, termination, development, and recognition of property management staff.

• Conduct weekly meetings and calls, maintaining daily contact with staff as necessary.

• Perform after-hours responsibilities as required.

• Manage community standards, resident programming, staff and resident development, and customer service initiatives.

• Oversee leasing, marketing efforts, rent collection, expense management, receivables, vendor contracts, invoices, and overall profitability.

• Build and maintain relationships and ongoing communication with university representatives and officials.

• Provide updates to the corporate office regarding university relations and communications.

• Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, evaluate, reward, and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve issues.

• Mentor, train, and develop teams while overseeing project workflow, prioritization, and timely completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or 8 years of experience in the student/multi-family housing sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficiency in leasing and marketing, customer service, facilities management, budgeting, supervision, business administration, public relations, and a blend of business and student development skills.

• Proven leadership abilities.

• Significant travel is required.
