This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and lead a team of Diagnostic Specialists throughout the United States.
• Develop diagnostic expertise in alignment with the global diagnostic strategy.
• Manage and promote education related to genetic testing and sponsored testing initiatives.
• Train and guide leadership efforts for educational initiatives targeting Diagnostic Specialists.
• Support the establishment of compensation frameworks and the achievement of team goals.
• Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in fulfilling reporting requirements and addressing business needs.
• Contribute to the formulation and execution of the U.S. diagnostic strategy.
• Identify Key Opinion Leaders in Genetic Testing and assess their educational needs.
• Provide field training in diagnostics and oversight while aiding in the development of materials.
• Attend conferences related to diagnostic initiatives and testing.
• Engage in compliant advocacy, outreach, and collaboration with local organizations.
• Deliver educational programs and insights that inform strategic decisions.
• Educate healthcare providers and partner laboratories on the use of sponsored testing.
• Offer expertise on IRD gene panels and best practices for testing.
• Manage the department, establish objectives and performance standards, conduct evaluations, and administer personnel actions.
• Travel extensively via car, plane, and train.
• BA/BS degree is required.
• A healthcare degree is strongly preferred, such as MS, RN, PA, PharmD, or PhD.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in sales, clinical/medical, or diagnostics.
• Demonstrated success in high-performing, diverse teams.
• Experience working with KOLs, laboratories, and both internal and external stakeholders.
• Previous experience with rare or ultra-rare diseases and a strong focus on patient needs is preferred.
• Proven track record of leading teams to achieve and surpass goals.
• Strong diagnostic and scientific knowledge.
• Strategic thinking and operational effectiveness.
• Capability to thrive in matrixed environments.

• Excellent skills in communication and presentation.
• Cross-functional abilities and a commitment to high ethical standards.
• Knowledge of ophthalmology genetics is strongly preferred.
• Comfort with modern electronic hardware and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Grok.
• Willingness to undertake extensive travel, including long-distance travel by car, plane, and train.
• Candidates should reside near a major airport hub.
