This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee strategic planning, execution, and ongoing enhancement of academic assessment across the College.
• Administer annual evaluations of student learning outcomes and thorough program assessments.
• Create and uphold assessment processes, tools, dashboards, rubrics, surveys, and reporting methodologies.
• Evaluate data on student learning and program effectiveness to foster evidence-based decision-making.
• Generate reports and recommendations for academic leadership, faculty, and university stakeholders.
• Act as the College's primary administrator for assessment management systems and assessment dashboards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for accreditation and state approval matters.
• Lead the preparation of self-studies, annual reports, accreditation submissions, quality assurance documents, and responses to accreditation inquiries.
• Direct compliance efforts related to CTC, WSCUC, AAQEP, and other pertinent accreditation and approval entities.
• Assist in accreditation site visits, review processes, and initiatives aimed at continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate with faculty, program directors, department chairs, curriculum leaders, and instructional designers to enhance assessment practices.
• Offer training, coaching, and guidance on assessment methodologies and accreditation standards.
• Assist in the development and revision of PLOs, SLOs, CLOs, assessment maps, rubrics, and evaluation tools.
• Aid faculty in translating assessment outcomes into actionable program enhancements.
• Evaluate new and revised program and course proposals to ensure effective assessment of student learning.
• Work with curriculum and instructional design teams to reinforce quality assurance and assessment alignment.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and continuous improvement across both credential and non-credential programs.
• Participate as a member of the Dean's Cabinet and the College leadership team.
• Contribute to strategic planning, quarterly operational reviews, and special projects.
• Collaborate with university assessment, accreditation, institutional research, and data operations leaders.
• Identify opportunities to enhance assessment processes and bolster organizational effectiveness.
• Doctoral degree in Education or a closely related discipline.
• At least eight (8) years of experience in higher education assessment and accreditation.
• Background in supporting assessment and accreditation within a College of Education or educator preparation setting.
• Experience with teacher credentialing programs.
• Familiarity with accreditation site visits and related reporting.
• Experience working with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
• Background with regional and/or programmatic accreditation agencies.
• Experience in student learning outcomes assessment.
• Proficiency in program review processes.
• Experience conducting data analysis and utilizing assessment findings for informed decision-making.
• Experience working with graduate and/or online educational programs.
• Familiarity with assessment management systems and student information systems.
• In-depth knowledge of teacher education accreditation and credentialing requirements.
• Understanding of California CTC processes and expectations.
• Ability to manage multiple assessment and accreditation initiatives concurrently.
• Capacity to build strong relationships with faculty and academic leaders.
• Proficient in leveraging data to guide strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
• Preferred: Experience assisting with AAQEP accreditation processes.
• Preferred: Experience directly engaging with CTC committees or serving as a consultant in accreditation activities.
• Preferred: Established professional connections within CTC or educator preparation communities.
• Preferred: Experience with non-credential program assessment and national accreditation.
• Preferred: Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Preferred: Experience with Anthology or comparable higher education platforms.
