This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.
• Coordinate activities related to Regional Dealer Placement, which includes preparing dealer agreement packages for new locations, buy/sells, renewals, relocations, and terminations.
• Supervise the regional dealer's business management, ensuring effective working capital, profitability, and overall financial performance.
• Oversee compliance with facility, signage, flooring, and trademark requirements.
• Craft and present proposals for new dealers and buy/sell transactions to the Franchise Committee.
• Collaborate with Dealer Principals and Management to review operations of underperforming and newly appointed dealers.
• Design and implement launch or improvement plans for dealers.
• Execute strategies and processes aimed at enhancing dealer profitability and performance.
• Provide updates on franchise activities and progress to Regional Management.
• Work alongside District Managers and regional teams to coordinate new dealer launches.
• Assess buy/sell opportunities and offer recommendations based on evaluations.
• Adhere to deadlines while delivering high-quality results.
• Become familiar with Mitsubishi’s 2030 network strategy and footprint objectives.
• Cultivate relationships with Regional Management and District teams.
• Identify key open point markets and evaluate dealer performance and compliance.
• Assess potential new dealer candidates and initiate prospecting efforts.
• Launch new dealers in strategic markets identified as priorities.
• Enhance the performance and profitability of underperforming and newly appointed dealers.
• Facilitate dealer agreement renewals and transitions in buy/sell processes.
• Show measurable improvements in dealer network representation, activation, and overall health.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in wholesale/retail automotive, including a role as a District Sales Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of dealer financial statements, dealership operations, and capital planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to influence and inspire others effectively.
• Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Must hold a valid, unconditional driver's license and maintain an MMNA-approved driving record.
• Demonstrated success in Dealer Development with a major OEM is preferred as a distinguishing factor.
• Previous experience in dealer placement, franchise compliance, and buy/sell negotiations is preferred as a distinguishing factor.
• Strong grasp of market representation strategies and retail network expansion in growth markets.
• Experience in enhancing dealership profitability and launching new stores.
