
Regional Commercial Sales Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct external commercial sales, generate leads, procure clients, and manage commercial projects.
• Make daily sales calls to current customers.
• Showcase products to builders, developers, designers, contractors, and other key decision-makers.
• Seek out potential new accounts and keep an eye on the local market.
• Travel daily within the designated area to engage with existing clients and seek new customers.
• Oversee commercial projects from start to finish, including product selection, specifications, ordering, delivery, installation oversight, punch walks, and claims management.
• Follow up on leads from sources such as Dodge, store leads, networking groups, and others.
• Collaborate with PRO Teams to pursue commercial leads.
• Submit proposals and responses to RFQs/RFPs after securing pricing and specifications approval.
• Coordinate with the Inside Commercial Sales team to finalize sales and meet customer needs.
• Partner with purchasing and inventory teams to verify product availability or arrange special orders.
• Stay updated on merchandising training and knowledge of new products and product lines.
• Track prospects’ contract calendars and prepare lead-status and other necessary reports.
• Engage in trade associations, trade shows, and promotional activities.
• Perform additional similar tasks as needed to achieve business objectives.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in commercial industry sales is required, preferably in flooring or building materials.
• Proven success in an outside sales role.
• Knowledge of the local market is essential.
• Proficient in managing a customer base using a CRM tool such as Salesforce.com.
• Experience with RFPs, commercial job bids, and general construction sales is necessary.
• Experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities, encompassing influencing and negotiation skills.
• Capability to multitask, adhere to deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment.
• Capacity to make independent judgments.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• A passion for prospecting new accounts.
• Willingness to travel daily by car within the assigned area, with limited air travel for customer or corporate events.
