This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Build and lead a team of Neurology Account Specialists.
• Launch approved products into the market.
• Develop and implement regional strategies.
• Cultivate talent, manage performance, and drive results for Shionogi’s approved products.
• Analyze sales data to pinpoint growth opportunities and areas needing attention.
• Oversee sales, pre-launch activities, strategic business planning, and the implementation of approved products.
• Construct and lead a team focused on acquiring, expanding, and retaining targeted business.
• Leverage knowledge of institutions, market access, and key customers to enhance national strategy and drive regional outcomes.
• Engage in the formulation of National/Regional sales strategies and execute them within the designated geographic area.
• Establish and manage regional expense budgets while ensuring proper resource utilization.
• Select and recruit Neurology Account Specialists; provide coaching, performance feedback, and motivation.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, corporate governance, relevant regulations, and pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Communicate vision, business objectives, performance metrics, and subsequent action steps.
• Identify opportunities for organizational efficiency and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with CADs, DPAs, MPAs, HUB, and other personnel to formulate strategies and build relationships.
• Develop and sustain professional relationships with targeted KOLs, physicians, medical staff, and essential center personnel.
• Anticipate and address business challenges proactively.
• Maintain expertise in selling skills, clinical knowledge, market insights, and product information.
• Represent the company, its products, and personnel with integrity and respect.
• Complete tasks and projects assigned by the Sr. Director, National Sales.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director, National Sales.
• Collaborate with field-based and internal colleagues, including those in Sales, Sales Operations, Medical, Compliance, and Human Resources.
• Interact with KOLs, physicians, healthcare providers, administrators, and HUB personnel.
• BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• At least 5 years in sales management.
• Preferred experience in Neurology, Rare Disease, CNS, Orphan Drugs, new product launches, and in the hiring, selection, and development of sales teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulations and guidelines related to pharmaceutical sales.
• Expertise in Buy and Bill, with substantial hospital and institutional knowledge preferred.
• Strong business acumen, bottom-line orientation, entrepreneurial spirit, and resourcefulness.
• Leadership and motivational skills, with a proven ability to observe, assess, and develop sales staff.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% or more, including frequent overnight stays.
