This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Engage in all components of the College's off-campus recruitment initiative.
• Oversee extensive travel within an assigned geographic region, encompassing both in-state and out-of-state recruitment efforts.
• Organize and participate in visits to high schools, career and technical education centers, classrooms, college fairs, and transfer fairs.
• Create and assess data-driven recruitment strategies to measure their success.
• Coordinate regional information sessions, campus bus tours, and various specialized programs.
• Cultivate relationships with school counselors, community organizations, community colleges, and other influencers in the college search process.
• Design and deliver engaging presentations to prospective students and their supporters.
• Monitor and analyze data and reports to track enrollment objectives.
• Develop, manage, and provide recommendations for recruitment budgets.
• Support prospective students through various communication channels and follow up as needed.
• Drive inquiries and applicants through the admissions process.
• Collaborate across the campus to convert inquiries into applicants.
• Evaluate inactive applications and recommend cancellations when appropriate.
• Assist transfer students with transcript evaluation processes and perform unofficial transcript assessments.
• Participate in virtual recruitment activities, including information sessions, chats, webinars, and college fairs.
• Support marketing initiatives and engage in Admissions social media activities.
• Utilize Slate CRM while ensuring data accuracy and timely data entry.
• Provide telephone and chat support during remote work hours.
• Maintain knowledge of office procedures, Admissions policies, academic programs, matriculation processes, and FERPA guidelines.
• Assist with special projects and other assigned responsibilities.
• A Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A valid, in-state driver's license is required.
• Previous experience in college admissions is preferred, or relevant professional experience in marketing/sales, customer service, human services, or education is required.
• Experience with travel and recruitment in the designated regional area is preferred.
• Familiarity with remote work practices is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Sensitivity to the needs of students, parents, and staff is important.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
• Capability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with diverse groups.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills are required.
• Competence to make decisions and exercise independent judgment in time-sensitive situations.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service orientation is necessary.
• Ability to conduct admissions activities with a high level of integrity.
• Understanding of trends in higher education is beneficial.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices is preferred.
• Bilingual speaking and writing skills are preferred.
