📋 Description

• Oversee the complete hiring process at Kairos, which includes reviewing applications, conducting work tests, facilitating interviews, performing reference checks, organizing work trials, and extending offers.

• Identify potential candidates through Kairos’s programs, personal network, and the wider AI safety community.

• Create and enhance applications, work tests, interview questions, and systems for tracking candidates.

• Assess the impact of AI on applications and optimize hiring processes accordingly.

• Assist in defining new roles and contribute to decisions regarding organizational structure.

• Aid in recruitment for Kairos Labs and the affiliated organizations it supports.

• Work collaboratively with AI safety researchers, policy experts, funders, and organizers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally, possess prior experience in managing hiring processes, either as a recruiter or in a position where hiring was a key responsibility.

• Strong judgment in evaluating candidates and comfort in making decisions amidst uncertainty.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to foster an engaging experience for candidates.

• Well-organized and dependable while overseeing 5–10 hiring rounds simultaneously.

• A profound commitment to mitigating risks associated with advanced AI technologies.

• Adequate understanding of the AI safety ecosystem to identify promising candidates and comprehend role requirements.

• Preferably available for meetings in the Eastern Time zone.

• Expected to be able to start within a couple of months after applying.

• Availability for remote work with travel commitments 3–6 times a year, primarily within the US.
