This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Meet designated sales targets while ensuring compliance, contributing to the success of the metabolism business unit.
• Create, implement, and enhance a strategic business plan for the designated territory.
• Share the territory strategy and performance while maintaining full ownership of the assigned territory.
• Execute marketing strategies for metabolic and/or PKU products on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Collaborate with Patient Services, Patient Engagement, Marketing, Managed Markets, and Medical Affairs teams.
• Convey complex technical and business information to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Forge partnerships with targeted physicians and healthcare personnel.
• Identify key treatment centers and facilities, working with stakeholders to enhance patient care.
• Build and sustain relationships with advocacy groups focused on patients and diseases.
• Employ a consultative, solution-driven sales approach with healthcare professionals.
• Address and resolve issues related to product access and reimbursement.
• Nurture relationships with key opinion leaders in the metabolic and/or PKU therapeutic field.
• Complete additional tasks and assignments as directed by management.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; degrees in Life Sciences, business, or healthcare are preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sales.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in rare disease, orphan drug, or highly specialized sales.
• Experience in selling high-cost products through specialty pharmacies, with significant patient-services coordination.
• Capability to create and implement comprehensive territory business plans.
• Proven track record of surpassing sales targets and effectively managing territories.
• Sales experience in specialized clinics, hospitals, and academic institutions, encompassing complete account selling.
• Ability to analyze complex technical data and formulate strategic, actionable business plans.
• Strong understanding of reimbursement, patient access, payer coverage, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy distribution, and account pull-through processes.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Effective planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including nights and weekends as necessary.
• A valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle with an active vehicle insurance policy.
• Capacity to travel daily to and from customer accounts and to drive long distances.
• Ability to meet facility vendor credentialing requirements, including training, background checks, and immunization proof.
• Experience in supporting orphan, rare disease, and/or specialized medications is preferred.
• Experience in a small, fast-growing, entrepreneurial sales setting is preferred.
• Start-up and new product launch experience is preferred.
• Field-based role requiring travel up to 75%, possibly including overnight and weekend travel.
