This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development, coaching, performance management, and daily operations of a geographically distributed Field Access Manager team.
• Direct field reimbursement initiatives within the designated region to meet patient access goals.
• Monitor field activities, recognize market opportunities and access obstacles, and create actionable regional strategies.
• Assist healthcare provider offices, enhance account engagement, and improve patient access results.
• Organize in-field efforts to optimize market, segment, and team dynamics.
• Offer guidance, prioritization, coaching, and accountability for regional field execution.
• Conduct field visits, accompany team members, engage in coaching discussions, and perform performance evaluations.
• Identify skills gaps, develop growth plans, share best practices, and promote engagement, inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Maintain technical proficiency to address inquiries related to products, policies, and business matters.
• Plan and lead plan-of-action meetings and other discussions with corporate leadership.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
• Provide direction and insights to internal partners in business strategy planning.
• Collaborate with training, analytics, compliance, HUB operations, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Coach, mentor, educate, and develop both direct and indirect team members.
• Create individualized development plans with measurable objectives and follow-up actions.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• A healthcare degree is beneficial, including MS, RN, PA, PharmD, or a similar advanced healthcare/scientific qualification.
• Over 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on payer policy and product access.
• More than 7 years of experience in benefit verifications and/or prior-authorization requirements or equivalent patient access experience.
• At least 3 years of successful leadership experience managing field access/reimbursement teams, including coaching, developing, and overseeing field-based team performance.
• Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy and medical benefit product models.
• Familiarity with Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures, with experience in Medicare Parts B & D coverage.
• Knowledge and awareness of specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement services, and patient access programs.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate market dynamics, competitor activities, and ongoing diabetes monitoring trends.
• Capability to collect and analyze data to inform regional strategy, including HUB and patient claims information.
• Proficient in computer applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and videoconferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, GoTo Meeting).
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Endocrinology is preferred.
• Previous experience launching products in an Access/Reimbursement leadership capacity is advantageous.
• Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in roles such as product marketing, managed care, field sales, case management, or large healthcare practice is a plus.
