Refuel Floor Technical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee both union and non-union personnel engaged in BWR Refuel Floor outage maintenance activities.

• Direct project delivery planning, transition strategies, risk identification, risk mitigation, and contingency planning.

• Guide and mentor diverse GEH and contingent-worker teams, including craft labor.

• Contribute technical insights to commercial proposal development regarding labor quantities, hours, tooling, and logistics.

• Build and maintain relationships with senior customer and supplier management concerning commercial, execution, technical, and compliance matters.

• Assist Product Line initiatives, encompassing proposal creation, product development, growth strategies, and training development and delivery.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on reactor maintenance, in-vessel tooling, and GEH OEM equipment.

• Uphold integrity, nuclear safety, and a quality-oriented culture.

• Ensure high-quality outputs meet customer specifications, company procedures, and regulatory standards.

• Promote standardized GVH processes across projects and guarantee adherence to procedures.

• Undertake additional tasks as required by business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field with 5 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance, OR a High School Diploma with at least 10 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance activities.

• Prior experience as a Refuel Floor Technical Director or in a similar role supporting Refuel Outage maintenance activities.

• Willingness and ability to travel over 70% of the time to customer locations both domestically and internationally.

• Openness to support off-season projects, including Spent Fuel Pool cleanup and Dry Cask storage initiatives.

• Willingness to instruct GEH Technical Training courses.

• Capability to meet Fitness for Duty requirements and site security protocols for unescorted access to U.S. and International Nuclear Plant Sites.

• Capacity to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated environments.

• Ability to successfully pass a respirator fit test and physical examination.

• Availability to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week during field project deliveries.

• Competence to manage effectively under high-stress conditions.

• Eligibility to obtain access to U.S. export-controlled information, if necessary.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if required.

• Broader experience in nuclear settings, including plant operations and/or maintenance tasks.

• Familiarity with Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) outage maintenance activities.

• Experience in executing Spent Fuel Pool Cleanup and Dry Cask Storage projects.

• Background in commercial activities, proposal development, and cost estimation.

• Extensive knowledge of nuclear power plant refueling, maintenance, inspection, and modifications.

• Understanding of BWR and PWR vessels and components, Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS), and Containment Buildings.

• Proficient in computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite, P6, PLM, and Oracle ERP.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accountability for deliverables.
