This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Identify optimization opportunities with clients, encompassing goals, limitations, and value propositions.
• Oversee the technical aspects of projects, organize modeling tasks, uphold timelines, and manage technical relationships with customers.
• Examine plant time-series data to determine feasibility and assess data quality.
• Develop and assess AI models, including inferential models, process response models, and closed-loop optimizers.
• Evaluate if identified relationships accurately represent actual processes and clarify any deviations from fundamental principles.
• Justify modeling choices during design reviews with client engineers.
• Implement models on-site, provide training for operators and engineers, and track closed-loop performance until customer approval.
• Diagnose and retrain deployed models during turnarounds and process modifications.
• Acquire knowledge and assist in systems integration, covering plant data connections, tag setups, and control system interfaces.
• Create automations, documentation, and training resources for client model development, assessment, and monitoring.
• Relay field insights to Product and R&D teams to influence platform development.
• Collaborate directly with Imubit’s founders and contribute to the company’s growth.
• Work alongside client teams both remotely and on-site to utilize data for examining processes and economic factors.
• Leverage Chemical Engineering expertise in machine learning technology to enhance real-time manufacturing processes.
• Establish process optimization strategies in collaboration with internal and client economic teams.
• Showcase Imubit’s technology to clients and provide training on its use.
• Promote effective communication between clients and Imubit’s R&D team.
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, NGL, or another continuous-process sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Background in process engineering or process control, with a solid understanding of APC and optimization principles such as gains, constraints, and objective functions.
• Proficient in analyzing plant time-series data, including visualizing extensive data sets and deriving logical conclusions.
• Experience in client-facing roles or operational support, sufficient to gain credibility with plant engineers and operators.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Practical experience in operating plants as a unit process engineer, control engineer, or in operations support.
• Experience in planning and economics (P&E), including the construction, maintenance, or operation of refinery LP models.
• Familiarity with APC or real-time optimization processes.
• Proven track record of leading projects or implementations, including managing the technical relationship with clients.
• Proficiency in scripting or data science, particularly in Python.
• Knowledge of plant data systems such as DCS, process historians, or OPC.
• Experience in consulting or in a customer-facing vendor role serving industrial clients.
• Understanding of AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics applied to industrial processes.
• A history of enhancing plant performance with minimal or no capital expenditure.
• Ability to differentiate learned relationships that accurately reflect the process from those that do not and provide explanations.
• Comprehensive understanding of refinery and petrochemical operations, control systems, and economic principles.
• Capability to resolve complex process issues using data-driven solutions.
• Comfortable conveying technical concepts to operators, engineers, and managers.
• Consultative, customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously and quickly adapt to new technologies.
