Referral Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Manage referrals from practice providers to specialists, hospitals, and diagnostic centers in accordance with physician directives.

• Ensure compliance with facility and insurance provider criteria so patients can receive necessary services in the right environment.

• Coordinate with insurance providers on referrals to reduce the financial burden on patients.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to fulfill referrals based on payor specifications.

• Acquire and scan external clinic records post-appointments to ensure continuity of care.

• Assist clinic, practice, hospital, and health system initiatives aimed at enhancing daily operations.

• Help patients access government and community resources to improve healthcare availability.

• Promote performance excellence initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

• Undertake responsibilities that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

• Uphold the organization's Culture of Excellence and recommend enhancements to the patient experience and care environment.

• Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.

• Provide comprehensive training and orientation for designated employees.
