This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with physicians, specialists, healthcare providers, therapists, community organizations, and other referral sources.
• Proactively engage in outreach through telephone, email, and other suitable channels.
• Establish and sustain a dependable referral partner network for families in need of ABA services.
• Educate referral partners on the organization's offerings, referral processes, and available support.
• Maintain consistent communication with referral partners and promote ongoing referrals.
• Discover new partnership and networking opportunities.
• Oversee the entire referral development process from initial outreach to continuous engagement.
• Conduct outreach calls, follow-ups, and relationship-building discussions.
• Tailor communication strategies to meet the diverse needs of referral partners.
• Represent the organization in a professional manner within healthcare and community networks.
• Accurately track incoming referrals and leads.
• Follow up diligently to ensure opportunities are not missed.
• Coordinate internally to assist families in accessing the appropriate services.
• Maintain comprehensive records of outreach efforts, conversations, referral sources, follow-ups, and outcomes.
• Manage multiple relationships and opportunities while staying organized.
• Track and report on outreach activities, calls, referral relationships, active partners, referrals generated, conversion rates, follow-up activities, pipeline development, and network expansion.
• Work towards defined measurable targets and report on performance.
• Ideally possess over 5 years of experience in business development, referral development, sales, account management, relationship management, or a similar commercially oriented role.
• Proven track record of achieving measurable outcomes.
• Ability to provide concrete examples of past performance, including targets, growth, revenue, referrals, lead generation, conversion rates, or other pertinent metrics.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with confidence in engaging with doctors, specialists, senior professionals, families, and other stakeholders.
• Strong written communication abilities.
• Confidence and comfort in proactive telephone outreach and relationship-building activities.
• Highly personable with a knack for quickly establishing rapport.
• Strong instincts in sales and business development without resorting to an overly aggressive sales approach.
• Excellent follow-up skills and the discipline to nurture relationships over time.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with tracking activities, maintaining accurate records, and reporting on performance metrics.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and proactively identify opportunities.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, ABA, therapy services, or medical services is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience in developing physician, specialist, or healthcare referral networks is beneficial.
• Understanding the ABA ecosystem and the journey of families seeking services is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CRM, lead management, or referral tracking systems is a plus.
