This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete recruitment lifecycle for lateral attorneys, from the approved hiring need to the accepted offer.

• Collaborate with Managing Partners, Practice Group Leaders, hiring attorneys, the COO, HR, Finance, and other departmental leaders to comprehend staffing requirements and manage the recruiting process.

• Create recruiting strategies, sourcing methods, candidate pipelines, and conduct direct outreach for attorney, administrative, and professional staff roles.

• Compose and maintain job descriptions and job postings.

• Identify, screen, assess, and present qualified candidates.

• Act as the main point of contact for candidates, ensuring a professional candidate experience.

• Organize interviews, schedules, video conferences, interview materials, reminders, feedback, and follow-up across various calendars and time zones.

• Manage candidate files, recruiting systems, trackers, documentation, calendars, and confidential records.

• Coordinate conflict reviews, background checks, references, offer documentation, negotiations, and pre-employment contingencies.

• Manage relationships, agreements, submissions, fees, and the performance of external legal recruiters and search firms.

• Build proactive talent pipelines through networking, LinkedIn, industry organizations, referrals, legal directories, and direct sourcing.

• Oversee offer management and transition to Human Resources and Firm Operations for onboarding.

• Develop standardized recruiting workflows, templates, checklists, interview guidance, and process enhancements.

• Assess recruiting technology and suggest improvements.

• Generate recruiting reports and dashboards that track pipelines, time-to-fill, sources, recruiter utilization, fees, offer acceptance, and hiring volume.

• Monitor recruiting expenses and assist in preparing the annual recruiting budget.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

• Approximately 5–8+ years of progressive recruiting experience.

• Significant attorney or legal recruiting experience is preferred.

• Proven ability to independently manage multiple searches at the same time.

• Experience in recruiting lateral attorneys is strongly preferred.

• Background in working within a law firm or professional services environment is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of legal recruiters, search firms, attorney compensation structures, and the lateral attorney market is preferred.

• Experience interacting directly with partners, executives, or senior-level hiring managers.

• Proficient in candidate sourcing and pipeline development.

• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruiting technologies, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar sourcing tools is preferred.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Office and related business technologies.

• Excellent recruiting judgment and candidate assessment abilities.

• Exceptional skills in relationship-building.

• Professionalism and credibility when dealing with attorneys and senior leadership.

• Strong candidate sourcing and networking skills.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
