
Recruiter – Must Reside in Virginia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Promote PRIDE’s job openings and attract external candidates for employment with PRIDE
• Conduct interviews with both external and internal applicants via phone and in-person
• Evaluate applicants by aligning their backgrounds and work experience with the written job descriptions
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of employment applications, resumes, pre-employment screenings, and offer letters
• Provide applicant documentation to Human Resources for inclusion in personnel files
• Collaborate with Human Resources to establish suitable starting salaries
• Organize interviews and recruitment processes in conjunction with hiring managers and other stakeholders involved in hiring decisions
• Create sourcing strategies and promote opportunities through job postings, online resources, job fairs, referrals, and other external applicant channels
• Coordinate recruitment activities and events in partnership with community agencies, job postings, online resources, job fairs, and businesses
• Maintain records for both open and closed positions, including offer and denial letters, as well as related recruitment documentation
• Update job postings, advertisements, and applicant files
• Conduct employment reference checks on final candidates
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred; or an equivalent amount of relevant work experience
• A minimum of one year of recruiting experience, encompassing recruiting techniques, technology, and methodologies
• Intermediate proficiency with personal computers, including the use of Internet search engines to post jobs and source applicants
• Understanding of labor laws pertaining to recruiting, interviewing, applications, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and accommodations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively respond to questions and requests
• Proficient written communication skills using appropriate business English
• Computer literacy to effectively use business software, access the Internet, and enter/retrieve data
• Human relations skills to foster effective working relationships
• Proven customer service, problem-solving, and common sense skills
• Capability to view computer screens/monitors, utilize a keyboard, and make/receive phone calls for extended periods
• Must reside in Virginia
