This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey, +3 more countries.
β’ Create and uphold electrical technical standards for StarLiquid liquid-filled distribution transformers.
β’ Conduct and assess electrical designs and calculations for transformers.
β’ Analyze factory designs to optimize cost, materials, and performance.
β’ Review change requests and formulate technically validated solutions.
β’ Assist in the implementation and testing within CDS, the common design system for transformer product design, along with related engineering systems.
β’ Ensure adherence to StarLiquid requirements and relevant international industry standards.
β’ Provide support to global factories regarding StarLiquid implementation and technical challenges.
β’ Develop technical documentation and offer training and engineering support.
β’ Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, R&D, manufacturing, quality, and software teams.
β’ Act as a recognized subject matter expert, delivering technical leadership and mentoring without managing personnel.
β’ Promote engineering excellence through coaching, knowledge sharing, and the continuous enhancement of global transformer design standards and best practices.
β’ Ensure compliance with all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering is required; a master's degree is preferred.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in the electrical design of liquid-filled distribution or power transformers.
β’ Proficient in winding design, losses, impedance, dielectric clearances, insulation coordination, temperature rise, and short-circuit performance.
β’ Familiar with relevant international industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, GB, CSA, and other transformer standards.
β’ Experience with transformer design software and electrical calculation tools.
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
β’ Capable of working independently while also supporting the development of other engineers.
β’ Proficient in both written and spoken English.
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 10β20% per year.
