This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Develop products, features, and AI experiences tailored for legal teams.
• Design and conduct thorough evaluations of AI-generated legal documentation.
• Assess and confirm product outputs for their accuracy, relevance, comprehensiveness, and utility.
• Transform customer feedback into sustainable enhancements by pinpointing root causes and determining if solutions necessitate prompts, skills, tools, or broader product adjustments.
• Create tests to avert recurring issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and GTM teams throughout the stages of discovery, requirements gathering, prioritization, testing, launch, and continuous improvement.
• Act as the legal advocate for quality, championing precision, consistency, and clarity in AI outputs.
• Convert legal workflows and customer needs into product specifications, acceptance criteria, and recommendations for the roadmap.
• Offer legal expertise for feature development and decisions regarding the product roadmap.
• Assist in the creation of reliable legal AI products through legal judgment, product insights, customer understanding, and experimentation.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a valid license to practice law.
• Over 5 years of legal experience.
• Ideally possess substantial in-house experience.
• In-depth knowledge in one or more facets of in-house legal work, such as corporate-commercial or transactional law, contract drafting and negotiation, product or regulatory counseling, privacy, compliance, employment, fintech, or litigation.
• Experience utilizing generative AI for legal tasks and assessing generative AI outputs.
• Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to design metrics, interpret evaluation results, and convert legal reasoning into logical, repeatable steps.
• Strong cross-functional communication abilities, with the capability to collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and GTM teams.
• Proficiency in designing and interpreting evaluation metrics and abstracting legal reasoning and processes into logical, repeatable steps.
