Freelance English into Irish Translator – Legal, Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for a diverse range of clients.

• Prepare and finalize translated products prior to client delivery.

• Perform translations from English to Irish.

• Specialize in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface) fields.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Address the translation requirements of international clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Irish.

• Expertise in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface).

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar.

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all circumstances, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Candidates must agree to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Candidates are required to complete free tests in Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM.

• One of the following qualifications is necessary: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or an equivalent degree with substantial translation training) from an accredited higher education institution; two years of translation experience along with a college degree; five years of translation experience without a college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation issued by a relevant government authority.

• Relevant experience in Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM should be included in the CV.

• Proposed per-word rate in USD for Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading must be included in the CV.
