RCM Client Billing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the client billing workflow for diagnostic laboratory services from the initial invoice submission to final resolution.

• Assess and address disputed, pending, and overdue invoice balances.

• Ensure that invoices adhere to client, GeneDx, LSA, guideline, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external billing vendors to troubleshoot issues and enhance reimbursement results.

• Facilitate new client onboarding, updates for existing clients, and client pricing within the billing software.

• Track invoice inventory, accounts receivable performance, and operational metrics.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Client Billing team.

• Examine invoices, pinpoint the root causes of disputes, and implement process enhancements.

• Interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Generate reports on client activities, operational performance, reimbursement trends, and team productivity for leadership review.

• Oversee system implementations, upgrades, process enhancements, support, and maintenance.

• Create and sustain billing policies, procedures, training materials, and best practices.

• Establish performance expectations, conduct one-on-ones, coach team members, and perform performance evaluations.

• Act as the first point of escalation for team member inquiries and concerns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or equivalent experience in a related field.

• 5–7 years of experience in laboratory billing, insurance claims, client billing, or revenue cycle management.

• In-depth understanding of insurance claim processes, healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and compliance requirements.

• Strong critical thinking abilities to identify root causes, resolve complex challenges, and implement effective solutions.

• Advanced knowledge of service requirements, adjudication processes, dispute management, and reimbursement methodologies.
