This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage, oversee, and carry out subsidy billing operations.
• Analyze and interpret relevant documents, subsidy agreements, contracts, and legal materials.
• Calculate and generate subsidy billings utilizing approved methods.
• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts related to subsidy funding and expected collections.
• Clarify subsidy calculations, billing approaches, and financial implications to clients, board members, and internal stakeholders.
• Act as the main point of contact for client discussions regarding subsidy billing, funding needs, and payment updates.
• Collaborate with Community Managers and internal teams to address billing inquiries and ensure compliance.
• Accurately post subsidy billings to the general ledger and reconcile billing activities with accounting records.
• Monitor subsidy receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
• Develop and maintain monthly subsidy billing trackers.
• Keep documentation supporting calculations, assumptions, references to governing documents, billing schedules, and client communications.
• Identify areas for enhancing billing processes, documentation standards, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing subsidy-related queries.
• Ensure adherence to company protocols, accounting standards, and client specifications.
• Assist with month-end closing and other accounting tasks as required.
• Engage in virtual meetings and phone communications.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in billing, accounting, finance, property management, community association management, or a similar financial operations role.
• Preferred experience in interpreting contracts, governing documents, legal agreements, or funding arrangements.
• Experience in managing receivables, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles, general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Capability to review, interpret, and apply governing documents, subsidy agreements, contracts, and legal materials.
• Experience in calculating and preparing intricate billings using established methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to create and maintain cash flow projections and assess financial impacts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting software systems.
• Capacity to maintain thorough and organized documentation.
• Familiarity with internal controls, audit support processes, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
• Skill in managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Flexibility to assist with month-end closing and other accounting duties.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and keep sensitive financial information confidential.
• Ability to lift and transport work-related items weighing up to 15 pounds.
• Capability to work in a remote/home-office setting with reliable internet access.
