This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create a territory-specific business/account strategy with approaches and tactics aimed at enhancing disease-state awareness, implementing diagnostic methodologies, identifying and pursuing business opportunities, and achieving sales objectives.

• Work closely with the Area Business Lead, Rare Disease, and interdisciplinary colleagues in areas such as account management, medical, market access, patient support, marketing, medical affairs, and liaison activities with thought leaders.

• Act as the primary contact for healthcare provider customers and accounts.

• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of current and future competitors and implement sales strategies to compete effectively.

• Develop and maintain expertise in relevant disease states, patient and clinic experiences, market dynamics, and product information.

• Utilize available tools, technologies, and resources to analyze markets and pinpoint trends and opportunities.

• Represent the company at significant congresses and society meetings.

• Train office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes to optimize pull-through.

• Appropriately use promotional materials and internal support resources.

• Address objections and influence prescribing habits during comprehensive office visits.

• Identify professional groups within the territory and network to access potential key opinion leaders.

• Cultivate relationships with office and practice personnel, providing accurate information to meet account needs.

• Conduct balanced office visits and sales presentations to assist healthcare professionals in improving patient outcomes.

• Promote clinical discussions, identify obstacles within accounts, and suggest suitable solutions.

• Position Otsuka as a leading entity among key nephrology stakeholders and specialty clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• An MBA or a related advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of three years of sales experience in rare disease, immunology, renal, oncology, and/or hospital account management is highly preferred.

• A demonstrated history of consistently meeting or surpassing financial and/or qualitative targets in a dynamic, fast-paced sales environment.

• Capability to interpret and analyze data to uncover trends, gain insights, drive pull-through, and lead live customer interactions.

• Proficiency in creating customer/account engagement strategies.

• Awareness of the marketplace, relevant competitors, industry standards, and matrix functional plans.

• Understanding of regulatory standards and the ability to conduct business operations in compliance with company policies and guidelines.

• Expertise in managing longer sales cycles and complex patient pathways across a range of products.

• Ability to navigate academic institutions, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), community practices, and local patient advocacy organizations.

• Skill in utilizing promotional materials and technical references, including studies and package inserts.

• Solid product knowledge of one’s own products as well as competitors’ offerings.

• A commitment to ethical business practices.
