Radiology Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute coding for CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM across 1 to 4 specialties.

• Conduct coding for professional fees, facility fees, or HCC.

• Code professional fee radiology diagnostic services, including EEGs, sleep studies, pulmonary function tests, MRIs, and CT scans.

• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with the highest level of specificity.

• Accurately utilize ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and relevant modifiers.

• Interpret coding guidelines to ensure correct code assignment.

• Evaluate the significance of documentation and its impact on reimbursement.

• Provide support for client coding services.

• Engage in training and educational sessions provided by the company.

• Safeguard personal health information and other sensitive company data.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

• Operate a computer terminal for 6 to 8 hours daily and manage prolonged sitting, with occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification from AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P).

• Minimum of 6 months of relevant on-the-job experience.

• Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance.

• Familiarity and experience with EMR, billing, and comparable systems.

• Access to a phone, dependable internet connection, and current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding resources.

• Maintain a productivity and accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

• Ensure a quality score of 95% or above.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Capable of effective and professional communication both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines.

• Capability to work independently from home using coding skills.

• Hold at least one credential from AAPC or AHIMA.
