This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Conduct medical coding for rehabilitation services.

• Operate remotely with hours that fluctuate according to the department's operational needs.

• Assist with billing, insurance, and medical coding activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in Medical Coding is mandatory.

• If a Medical Coding education is not available, an active coding certification is necessary.

• A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• An Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of progressive coding experience is required.

• 2 years of progressive coding experience in various specialties, with a preference for HCC Risk adjustment Coding.

• One of the following certifications must be obtained prior to hire: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).

• Must reside in an approved remote work state for UW Health.
