This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop intricate single-turn prompts related to radiological safety, categorized as benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
• Assess model outputs against established policy standards.
• Determine if responses appropriately addressed radiological safety inquiries.
• Compose reference answers and elucidate the technical reasoning behind them.
• Generate prompts that differentiate valid professional inquiries from harmful misuse situations.
• Provide written justifications that can be understood by non-specialists.
• Engage in reading and writing about radiological safety misuse scenarios over extended periods.
• Appropriately scope work where obligations exist for classified, export-controlled, NDA-bound, or prepublication-restricted information.
• Must have previously held a radiation safety licence and served as the person of record for acquisition, inventory, transfer, and disposal.
• Experience as a named Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) on a broad-scope licence, RSO or deputy RSO at a university, hospital, or research institute, industrial or irradiator RSO, licensing and compliance specialist, or radiation protection manager.
• Background in programme management, source inventory, regulatory compliance, Category 1 and 2 sealed sources, radiography, gauging, sterilization, regulatory submissions, amendments and inspections, ALARA, audits, training, and incident reporting as applicable.
• Capability to differentiate between routine professional inquiries and potentially hazardous misuse scenarios.
• Excellent technical writing skills; every decision must include a written rationale that is accessible to non-specialists.
• Previous experience in technical writing, published research, or expert witness roles is highly desirable.
• Must refrain from utilizing classified or export-controlled information, NDA-covered data, or information subject to prepublication review obligations.
