This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the Radar and RF Communications Engineer for projects relating to UAV tracking, munition tracking, and communication links for munitions.
• Work in collaboration with Radar Project Leads and higher management to formulate strategic plans for Radar and Communications initiatives.
• Establish and implement the technical direction for supporting programs.
• Oversee the technical aspects of Radar system development, acquisition, and integration.
• Lead a diverse Integrated Product Team dedicated to the development and integration of Radar and Communications systems.
• Strategize, execute, and proactively address issues associated with technical performance and risk management.
• Offer Radar support during the design, development, and testing phases of Radar systems that are integrated with armament systems.
• Assist in high-precision ground-based radar systems that track projectiles and threats.
• Facilitate advanced functionalities through Radar-to-Munition Datalinks to support command guidance and navigation.
• Create and utilize modeling and simulation tools for radar systems, signal processing, and tracking algorithms, including Kalman filtering.
• Perform technical analyses to evaluate future system performance and enhance existing radar capabilities.
• Organize, manipulate, and analyze recorded and simulated Radar data to generate plots, tables, and actionable conclusions.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA.
• A degree in Physics or Computer/Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Radar technology is required.
• In-depth knowledge of Radar systems, signal processing, tracking, and track filtering.
• Familiarity with phased array antennas, digital arrays, active electronically scanned arrays, RF processing, and digital signal processing in FPGAs.
• Experience with RF and microelectronics integrated into gun-launched projectiles is advantageous.
• Understanding of communications systems and methodologies related to radar datalink functions for navigation and command guidance architectures is desirable.
• Capability to analyze recorded and simulated data from various Radar systems and generate plots, tables, and conclusions.
• Proficiency in Matlab is preferred.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Initial part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, with the possibility of evolving into a full-time position.
• Fully remote work opportunity.
