Communications Strategy and Performance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Spearhead H&R Block's enterprise listening strategy to assess reputation, stakeholder sentiment, competitor behavior, and industry developments.

• Track brand perception across various channels, including traditional media, digital platforms, AI-driven searches, and generative AI technologies.

• Deliver data-informed insights for communications, public relations, and executive messaging initiatives.

• Recognize emerging risks, trends, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.

• Evaluate the impact of corporate news, significant announcements, and reputational events.

• Analyze feedback from internal and external audiences, engagement levels, and performance metrics.

• Convert intricate data into reports, executive summaries, and strategic recommendations.

• Collaborate with communications and PR teams on issue management, crisis response, and reputation safeguarding.

• Develop and sustain dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor brand and reputational health.

• Utilize AI-driven monitoring and intelligence tools for interpretation, escalation, and decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in communications, media intelligence, or a related area.

• Proven history of leading research or insights functions.

• Extensive knowledge of media monitoring and social listening platforms, such as Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Cision, or similar tools.

• Demonstrated ability to simplify complex data into executive-ready narratives that prompt action.

• Strong instincts regarding reputational risks and escalation judgment.

• Experience collaborating with content teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing others.

• Background in financial services, consumer brands, or heavily regulated industries is advantageous.

• Experience in crafting executive-ready presentations and slide decks is a plus.
