Quality Inspector – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Develop, interpret, and analyze Weld Map Isometric drawings utilizing computer software applications.

• Input welding and inspection data into the tracking system.

• Support the planning and execution of pressure testing procedures.

• Compile project documentation packages.

• Conduct and record inspections in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures to ensure compliance.

• Evaluate welders and carry out weld inspections in alignment with various codes.

• Adhere to Project Quality Assurance Plans.

• Comply with Inspection and Test Plans (I&TPs).

• Aid the Site Quality Manager with a range of daily responsibilities as directed.

• Uphold Mullins' core values and safety protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge and experience gained through working within a Quality Management Program.

• At least 4 years of professional experience as a Quality Inspector and/or Quality Technician.

• Must possess current AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, and/or API 510/570 certifications.

• In-depth understanding of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).

• Familiarity with ASTM standards and materials.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction project management software (Procore preferred).

• Strong team player with effective communication skills with colleagues.

• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.

• High degree of organizational skills.

• Extensive experience in reading and comprehending drawings.

• Quick learner who is self-motivated with a desire to learn and advance.

• Willingness to travel and relocate as necessary.

• Experience in adhering to customer specifications.

• Familiarity with the verification of mechanical equipment alignment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE).

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

• Must be capable and willing to climb stairs and ladders while working on scaffolds and in trenches for access.

• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for prolonged periods, and walking on uneven surfaces for extended durations.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of insurability, and the ability to pass an MVR background check.

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, with exposure to loud noises and unusual odors, in confined spaces, and in areas with overhead activities.
