Quality Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Develop, interpret, and comprehend Weld Map Isometric drawings utilizing computer software applications.

• Input welding and inspection data into the tracking system.

• Support the planning and execution of pressure testing activities.

• Compile project documentation packages.

• Carry out and document inspections in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures to ensure compliance.

• Evaluate welders and conduct weld inspections adhering to various codes.

• Adhere to Project Quality Assurance Plans.

• Comply with Inspection and Test Plans (I&TPs).

• Aid the Site Quality Manager with a variety of daily tasks as assigned.

• Uphold Mullins' core values and safety standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge and experience gained from working within a Quality Management Program.

• At least 4 years of professional experience as a Quality Inspector and/or Quality Technician.

• Must possess a current AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, and/or API 510/570 certifications.

• In-depth knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).

• Familiarity with ASTM standards and materials.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction project management software (Procore preferred).

• Capability to collaborate as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• High degree of organizational abilities.

• Extensive understanding of reading and interpreting drawings.

• Must be a quick learner and self-driven with a desire to learn and advance.

• Willingness to travel and relocate as necessary.

• Experience adhering to customer specifications.

• Familiarity with verifying mechanical equipment alignment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE).

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able and willing to climb stairs and ladders while working on scaffolding and in trenches to access work areas.

• Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and walking on uneven terrain for extended durations.

• Must possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurability, and be able to pass an MVR background check.

• Capability to work outdoors in extreme weather, with exposure to loud noises, abnormal odors, confined spaces, and areas with overhead activities.
