Quality Control Inspector – Level 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct daily quality assessments of welding, pipeline, facility, mechanical, and turnaround operations.

• Ensure adherence to project specifications, approved drawings, relevant codes, and client requirements.

• Coordinate and oversee quality testing activities, including NDE, hydrostatic testing, and material verification.

• Confirm that materials are accurately documented, traceable, and compliant before installation.

• Maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), covering hold points, witness points, and client inspections.

• Identify non-conformances and assist in implementing corrective actions.

• Verify weld documentation, material traceability, and turnover records.

• Compile inspection reports, quality documentation, and project closeout packages.

• Engage in client, regulatory, and third-party inspections and audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• A CWB Welding Inspector Level 2 certification is mandatory.

• Current CSTS certification is required.

• WHMIS 2015 certification must be up-to-date.

• H2S Alive certification is necessary.

• Current First Aid certification is needed.

• Other safety certifications required by the industry are expected.

• Experience in conducting quality inspections on pipeline, facility, industrial, oil and gas, or turnaround projects is essential.

• Strong understanding of welding inspection, construction quality processes, NDE, pressure testing, and material traceability.

• Competence in reading and interpreting construction drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and technical specifications.

• Familiarity with CSA, ASME, API, and client quality standards is a plus.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
