Quality Business Analyst Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee QA and testing efforts for VistA applications and workflows affected by the SSN reduction initiative.

• Create and uphold project-wide testing strategies, plans, standards, and priorities driven by requirements, risks, dependencies, and release timelines.

• Guide and mentor QA Analysts in test planning, execution, documentation, defect management, and release validation processes.

• Design and supervise functional, integration, regression, security, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Develop and manage test cases and scenarios related to SSN removal, enterprise identifiers, workflow and UI modifications, reports, audit records, interfaces, and associated functionalities.

• Ensure thorough end-to-end test coverage and facilitate testing coordination among development, QA, and business teams.

• Lead defect triage, prioritization, retesting, and closure while keeping a close eye on quality risks and defect trends.

• Assist in release-readiness reviews and offer quality recommendations to project leadership and Government stakeholders.

• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and validation outcomes.

• Ensure testing complies with applicable privacy, PII/PHI, security, and NIST-related requirements, while maintaining documentation for audit purposes.

• Coordinate UAT with clinical, administrative, and Government stakeholders.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and provide QA insights during requirements and design activities to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are verifiable.

• Identify opportunities for test automation and relay testing status, risks, dependencies, and impediments to project leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of software quality assurance experience in healthcare IT or complex enterprise systems.

• At least 2 years of experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, QA Manager, or similar quality leadership role.

• Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive test strategies across functional, integration, regression, and UAT.

• Familiarity with defect management, release validation, requirements traceability, QA metrics, and reporting.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum software development environments.

• Strong understanding of test case and test script development, test automation concepts, and QA best practices.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to lead and collaborate with distributed QA teams and both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience testing Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VistA applications.

• Knowledge of MUMPS-based application environments.

• Familiarity with ADT, PCE, AICS, Record Tracking, VistA Audit Solutions, or related VistA applications.

• Understanding of PII/PHI handling, HIPAA, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and VA privacy and security regulations.

• Experience in implementing or managing automated software testing.

• Experience in supporting Federal healthcare applications or other highly regulated systems.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• All selected candidates must pass a background check successfully.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including necessary fingerprinting, as required for the position.

• Selected candidates will need to complete fingerprinting at a government facility.
