This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take ownership of the QA strategy encompassing both automated and manual testing, determining what should be automated, what requires manual testing, and which risks are acceptable.
β’ Ensure regression coverage on essential paths, including onboarding, payments, subscriptions, messaging, and login processes.
β’ Assess the integration of third-party testing services and AI-driven QA tools.
β’ Oversee the release calendar and quality scorecards, providing leadership with reports on crash rates, defect escape rates, and overall release health.
β’ Conduct release retrospectives, transforming incidents and escaped defects into sustainable process improvements.
β’ Link release decisions to the incident response framework.
β’ Manage the complete release process for the Raya iOS app, from overseeing release trains and setting cut/freeze/submission dates to App Store submission, phased rollouts, and rollback/fix-forward strategies.
β’ Establish release readiness criteria and guide go/no-go decision-making processes.
β’ Develop quality processes and automation frameworks.
β’ Concentrate regression and automation efforts on paths critical to member experience.
β’ Take responsibility for escaped defects from their discovery through root cause analysis and prevention measures.
β’ Collaborate with engineering managers, product teams, and leadership to integrate quality into workflows, while maintaining team velocity.
β’ Continuously enhance the release process in short iterative cycles.
β’ A minimum of 6 years in software quality, release management, or engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
β’ Extensive understanding of the App Store release lifecycle, including TestFlight, phased releases, expedited reviews, and handling rejections.
β’ Experience with subscription and payment processes on iOS platforms.
β’ Proven track record in developing test automation strategies for mobile applications, encompassing real-device testing, feature flags, and progressive rollouts.
β’ Ability to determine the balance between automated and manual testing, along with managing third-party QA or crowd-testing vendors.
β’ Proficient in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and possess a strong understanding of Git branching strategies for mobile release workflows.
