QA Test Engineering Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and execution of manual test cases in alignment with business and functional requirements.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing activities.

• Document, track, and verify software defects utilizing defect management tools.

• Aid in automation testing initiatives leveraging Java, JavaScript, and BDD frameworks.

• Contribute to the preparation of test data and validation of test environments.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to comprehend application functionality and quality standards.

• Implement quality engineering best practices, including test planning, defect management, and documentation of tests.

• Gain insights into CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and contemporary software development workflows.

• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to boost productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance test development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.

• Strong grasp of Software Testing principles and SDLC/STLC concepts.

• Basic knowledge of programming in Java or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with SQL and relational database systems.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Willingness to learn about automation testing and quality engineering methodologies.

• Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

• Basic knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub.

• Understanding of REST API testing utilizing Postman or similar tools.

• Basic comprehension of CI/CD concepts.

• Awareness of AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude.

• Personal automation projects or a GitHub portfolio.

• Participation in hackathons or coding competitions.

• Relevant certifications in Software Testing or Automation.
