This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Create a strategy for automation testing and an execution plan that aligns with release and quality goals.
• Design, develop, and sustain automation suites for UI, API, and integration with traceable coverage.
• Utilize Tricentis capabilities to enhance automated testing and meet quality objectives.
• Develop intricate test scenarios that encompass edge cases, failure modes, and essential application functionalities.
• Execute tests and evaluate results to identify defects and pinpoint root causes.
• Conduct system integration and validation testing to meet functional, performance, and reliability standards.
• Create and maintain quality control artifacts that address regression coverage, test data management, and compliance with standards.
• Perform analysis of defect trends and suggest enhancements to product design, testability, and process quality.
• Implement improvements in frameworks and tools to boost automation reliability, maintainability, and adoption.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and technical stakeholders to share findings, resolve defects, and enhance software quality.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Active Public Trust level clearance is required.
• 6–7 years of pertinent experience in test automation and quality engineering.
• Practical experience with Tricentis test automation solutions.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Java or C#.
• Expertise in React, Next.js, or Angular, including component and UI testing.
• Proficient in Testing Library, UI automation, API testing, contract testing, and reliable test design.
• Experience in testing backend services and microservices, particularly with Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with Maven for dependency and build management.
• Experience in container-based integration testing, such as Testcontainers.
• Ability to design and maintain scalable automation frameworks leveraging clean code, modularity, version control, and CI/CD integration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to isolate defects across UI, API, data, and environment layers.
• Capability to enhance quality processes, define testing standards, and promote adoption across teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing workflows using OpenCode, Claude Code, and Gemini Vertex AI.
