Solution Architect – Automation, Intelligent Process, Citizen Development Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement an enterprise Automation Center of Excellence.

• Establish intake processes, prioritization, delivery methods, standards, governance, and value tracking.

• Promote and identify automation opportunities across various business functions.

• Convert business challenges into actionable use cases.

• Formulate a practical automation roadmap that balances quick wins with scalable enterprise solutions.

• Foster adoption and delivery of RPA, workflow automation, intelligent automation, process mining, automated testing, conversational bots, and citizen development.

• Utilize AI and intelligent automation techniques to enhance straight-through processing, exception handling, decision support, productivity, and user experience.

• Advocate for and assist in developing an enterprise automation training strategy.

• Create role-based learning pathways, communication strategies, stakeholder alignment, and manage organizational change.

• Ensure initiatives comply with enterprise standards, information security expectations, GxP, SOX, GDPR, data privacy, legal, compliance, and quality standards.

• Collaborate with IT business relationship managers, system owners, functional architects, and business leaders to deliver solutions with speed, quality, and business impact.

• Oversee vendor relationships, platform investment planning, cost optimization, and automation consumption models.

• Develop strategies for chargebacks, run-cost alignment, and potentially self-fund automation through realized savings.

• Prioritize portfolio demand across run, grow, and transform initiatives.

• Personally manage work from conception through architecture, delivery, adoption, and value realization.

• Coordinate a small team of external consultants, implementation partners, or specialists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive, hands-on experience in enterprise automation, process transformation, intelligent automation, AI enablement, and solution delivery.

• Demonstrated experience in establishing or scaling an automation Center of Excellence utilizing a lean operating model and a small group of external delivery resources.

• Practical architecture and implementation experience with RPA, workflow and process automation, intelligent automation, automated testing, process mining, conversational bots, and citizen development.

• Proficiency with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Celonis, Signavio, and Microsoft Power Platform.

• Extensive experience applying automation across large enterprise systems such as SAP and its integrations/modules, CRM, Content/Medical Information Management, Customer Services Centers, SCM, Manufacturing, Informatica, Databricks, Snowflake, and Power BI.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is preferred.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Relevant technology, cloud, automation, or life sciences certifications are highly desirable.

• Willingness to travel overnight as needed for business purposes.

• Capacity to work in regulated, quality-focused, and compliance-sensitive environments.
