QA Test Engineering Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in the preparation and execution of manual test cases based on business and functional requirements.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.

• Report, track, and validate software defects utilizing defect management tools.

• Support automation testing efforts using Java, JavaScript, and BDD frameworks.

• Contribute to the preparation of test data and validation of test environments.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to comprehend application functionality and quality expectations.

• Implement quality engineering best practices, including test planning, defect management, and test documentation.

• Gain exposure to CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and contemporary software development workflows.

• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to enhance productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and improve test development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

• Strong grasp of Software Testing fundamentals and SDLC/STLC concepts.

• Basic proficiency in Java or JavaScript programming.

• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Willingness to learn automation testing and quality engineering practices.

• Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

• Basic knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub.

• Understanding of REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Basic awareness of CI/CD concepts.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.

• Personal automation projects, a GitHub portfolio, participation in hackathons or coding competitions, and relevant certifications are advantageous.
