This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create test plans, test cases, and scripts for both manual and automated testing processes.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Reproduce defects, gather logs, and document root-cause analysis for developers.
• Assess accessibility compliance in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards.
• Execute cross-browser and responsive UI testing.
• Evaluate API functionality, error handling, and backend interactions.
• Keep test documentation updated, including results, traceability matrices, and defect reports.
• Contribute to the development of automated test suites and enhance automation coverage.
• Work closely with developers and business analysts to confirm acceptance criteria.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and support testing cycles based on sprints.
• Offer suggestions to enhance overall quality, accessibility, and testing procedures.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, UX designers, and cybersecurity teams to validate functionality, accessibility, and performance prior to deployments.
• Must possess an active Secret clearance, backed by a Tier 3 background investigation.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, QA/Testing, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, accessibility testing, or software testing roles.
• Proficient in executing both manual and automated tests.
• Experienced in WCAG/508 accessibility validation.
• Background in testing web applications and APIs.
• Capable of documenting defects and test results in a clear and precise manner.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile testing practices.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 / Section 508).
• Knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• WCAG / Section 508 Accessibility Certification is required.
• Preferred: experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) or federal IT environment.
• Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration for testing.
• Preferred: comprehension of load and performance testing tools.
• Preferred: certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL v4 Foundation, and Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or similar QA credentials.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written communication skills for effective defect reporting and documentation.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and UX teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple test cycles.
