QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications.

• Identify, document, and monitor bugs, ensuring they are effectively resolved.

• Conduct manual and automated testing to guarantee optimal performance and user experience.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend project requirements and establish testing strategies.

• Write and maintain end-to-end automated tests utilizing Playwright or similar frameworks.

• Use AI tools responsibly as an aid, rather than a substitute, for human-written and human-understood code.

• Continuously enhance QA processes, frameworks, and best practices.

• Remain informed about emerging QA tools and industry trends.

• Contribute to the entire software development life cycle as part of a growing QA team.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure software quality and reliability.


⛳️ Requirements

• 90%+ proficiency in written and spoken English, at least at a B2 level.

• Over 2 years of QA experience.

• Practical experience with end-to-end automation frameworks; Playwright preferred, with Cypress, Maestro, Appium, or Selenium also acceptable.

• Ability to create and maintain clean, readable automated tests.

• Coding experience in JavaScript, Ruby, Python, or similar; comfortable writing functions and organizing projects.

• Experience with GitHub or comparable version control systems.

• Ability to craft clear bug reports, reproduction steps, test cases, and root cause analyses.

• Experience working on projects throughout the complete software development life cycle.

• Familiarity with JIRA or other bug-tracking/project management tools.

• Experience with Postman or API testing is preferred.

• Familiarity with fintech or regulated software environments is preferred.

• Experience working in small, agile QA teams is preferred.

• Required expertise in E2E automation, JavaScript/Python/Ruby, GitHub, JIRA, manual testing, and automated testing.

• Must be able to work in the Central Time (CT) time zone.
