Python Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop pipelines that disseminate security advisories based on vulnerability assessments and implemented fixes.

• Automate the assessment of vulnerabilities across extensive inventories of packages, versions, and dependencies within various ecosystems.

• Integrate vulnerability detection scanners, align their findings, and link results to assessment and patching processes.

• Construct and maintain Python services, command-line utilities, and internal interfaces for engineers who are assessing vulnerabilities, tracking patches, and managing releases.

• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to clarify requirements, establish priorities, and define the methods for verifying results.

• Enhance build and deployment automation, oversee production systems, and resolve failures across services, containers, and data stores.

• Conduct code reviews and enhance automated testing, security, and maintainability.

• Employ AI coding agents in daily development tasks, reviewing and testing the code they generate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and maintaining production software using Python.

• Strong skills in Linux troubleshooting and debugging in production environments.

• Experience in designing and integrating APIs and services.

• Familiarity with asynchronous or distributed processing methodologies.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, containers, and automation of build or deployment processes.

• Proficient in relational data modeling and SQL.

• Experience with the Python stack, including Django, Django REST Framework, Celery, and RabbitMQ.

• Experience in developing services or command-line tools using Go.

• Familiarity with package ecosystems, dependency metadata, or vulnerability data formats such as OSV.
