Python Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Engage in compensated, project-oriented software engineering tasks for a prominent AI laboratory.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within complex, multi-file codebases.

• Implement backend or full-stack features.

• Refactor and transition existing systems.

• Create and enhance unit and integration test suites.

• Draft technical specifications and reference implementations.

• Review code and technical submissions to ensure accuracy and quality.

• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure scenarios.

• Confirm alignment among requirements, code, tests, and expected results.

• Deliver production-grade code, technical solutions, documentation, testing, validation, and actionable feedback on code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong expertise in Python.

• Professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with at least one additional programming language such as Java, C#, or Go.

• Experience in backend or full-stack roles with production systems.

• Proficiency with testing frameworks like pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Capability to navigate and debug extensive, multi-file codebases.

• Experience in code reviews, refactoring, and migrations in production environments.

• Advanced written communication skills in English.

• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving abilities.
