Python Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain backend applications utilizing Python.

• Create and integrate REST APIs along with backend services.

• Develop backend solutions that are scalable, reliable, and easy to maintain.

• Engage with both relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams.

• Take part in technical discussions and assist in solution design.

• Diagnose, optimize, and enhance existing backend systems.

• Contribute to testing, documentation, code reviews, and best practices in development.

• Assume ownership of tasks and aid in ongoing product and engineering enhancements.

• Participate in international projects with distributed engineering teams.

• Contribute to backend systems, applications, API development, integrations, cloud solutions, databases, automation, and scalable architectures as per project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience in backend development using Python.

• Practical experience in building and sustaining APIs and backend services.

• Familiarity with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of Git and contemporary software development practices.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and keen technical curiosity.

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating in a remote setting.

• Proficiency in English for communication with international teams.

• Nice to have: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Nice to have: Experience with microservices architectures.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with CI/CD practices.

• Nice to have: Experience with serverless architectures.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.

• Nice to have: Experience with AI/LLM integrations.

• Nice to have: Proficiency in the German language.
