Pursuit Leader – Industrial Manufacturing Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with client and subcontractor representatives to identify opportunities and comprehend specific needs.

• Organize, coordinate, and oversee pursuit activities until completion.

• Create compelling proposals, conduct shortlist interviews, and manage pursuit closeout activities.

• Determine pursuit teams and required resources.

• Facilitate proposal development by collecting technical, commercial, and financial data.

• Write, review, and edit technical proposal components that align with client requirements and winning strategies.

• Craft messaging and materials for interviews and presentations.

• Formulate and manage commercial strategies, taking margin and profitability into account.

• Collaborate with finance and legal departments.

• Lead workshops and review submissions.

• Enhance pursuit processes, systems, and tools.

• Conduct debriefs with clients and teams post-selection to share insights and lessons learned.

• Partner with Account Leaders for client engagements.

• Guide pursuit teams in critical discussions.

• Develop and oversee pursuit budgets.

• Maintain CRM and pursuit data in Oracle Sales Cloud and activate Collaboration Hub sites.

• Ensure commercial excellence throughout all pursuit phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A professional degree in Architecture or Engineering.

• At least 10 years of proven experience in managing pursuits within the Industrial Manufacturing sector.

• Previous experience with private sectors such as automotive, aerospace, chemical, life sciences, or general manufacturing tenders.

• Familiarity with bid delivery models.

• Capability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build lasting professional relationships.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Understanding of commercial strategies related to margin and profitability.

• Competence in coordinating with finance and legal teams.

• Capacity to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize a demanding schedule and workload.
